What we decline

Specialism is a courtesy.

We do not alter women’s tailoring, children’s wear, technical outdoor cloth, or trainers. Leather and heavy oilskin are quoted only after the fitter has seen them. If a garment cannot reach the result you want, we say so before it leaves your house — and we do not charge for that honesty.

Hems, waists, seats and tapers for suit trousers, chinos and jeans — measured at your address anywhere in the UK, finished in the workroom and returned pressed. Plain hems from £28.

Suit jacket alterations →

Sleeve length, body suppression, shortening and shoulder balance for lounge suits, blazers and sports jackets. Pinned in the shirt you will wear with it. Sleeves from £55.

Shirt alterations →

Side seams, back darts and sleeve length for city shirts, Oxford shirts and evening shirts. Pinned on you and returned pressed. Sleeves from £32.

Overcoat alterations →

Hems with lining, sleeve length, button stance and vent repairs for overcoats, topcoats and covert coats. Pinned over the jacket you wear underneath. Sleeves from £70.

Dinner suit alterations →

Peak- and shawl-lapel dinner jackets, evening trousers, shirts and waistcoats, prepared for weddings, guild dinners, balls and the season. Dinner suit package from £150.
